Ballistol gun oil and universal oil proven since more than 120 years

Ballistol Oil is one of the rarely alkaline oil. As an alkaline Oil Ballistol is high effective, universal, environment-friendly and acts disinfectant. Furthermore Ballistol is a proven penetrating oil and an agent for rust protection. Ballistol does not resinify even in decades and it is durable practical unlimited. Besides Ballistol is complete biodegradable, food safe and skin-friendly. Ballistol is well suited for more than 1000 purposes in household, workshop, garden, car, bike, wood care, leather care, industry, for anglers, hunters, sport shooters etc.

Gun care with Ballistol gun oil:

Ballistol protects from corrosion, lubricates, cleans and acts against residues of powder, lead, copper and tombac. It creeps into finest fissures and dissolves old soilings and resins of unsuited oils. It neutralizes combustion residues. It also cleans, maintains and preserves the wooden stock and leather gun slings.
When firing a shot there are Temperatures of several hundred degrees centigrade and acid combustion gases under a pressure of up to 500 atmospheres, which provides the bullet with the necessary initial acceleration. These extreme conditions in the barrel foster wear and tear and corrosion extremely. On top of that all kinds of weather affect the outside of the weapon.

As a consequence from this a good gun-oil must have the following characteristics:

It must be able to chemically neutralize acid residue in the barrel and the lock of the gun, which came into existence when the cartridge was fired.
It must be able to remove fouling and metal residue from the bullet in the barrel.
It must be able to protect the gun against corrosion inside as well as outside, corrosion caused by atmospheric influences.
It must be durable and it must not resinify.
It must be universal, i.e. the maintaining and preserving properties of the oil can also be used for the stock and the sling of the gun for instance.
