What sets Ballistol apart from other oils

The properties of Ballistol

Ballistol Universal Oil is one of the few alkaline oils. As an alkaline oil and spray, Ballistol Universal Oil is highly effective, versatile and does not gum up. Ballistol cares, cleans, lubricates, protects against rust, creeps into the tiniest corners and hairline cracks, does not gum up, is biodegradable (60% according to OECD 301B (70 days)), food-safe (Regulation [EC] No. 1935/2004, LFGB) and kind to skin. Thanks to its composition, Ballistol cannot gum up and is also approved for parts that come into contact with products in the food industry. Ballistol does not age and dissolves residues such as resins from unsuitable oils. No other oil is as versatile.

The base oil is medical-grade white oil. Ballistol contains no substances of animal origin. Ballistol is resistant to ageing and does not gum up even after years. Ballistol is unbeatable in its versatility.

• Ballistol oil for cars and motorcycles:
  Ballistol protects chrome parts, rims, door locks and steering locks. A squirt of Ballistol in the lock prevents it from freezing in winter. In summer, a thin film of Ballistol on the front of the car means insect residue can be wiped off effortlessly after your drive. Ballistol also stops door seals from freezing in winter. Add a little Ballistol to the rinse water and dull paintwork and plastics shine like new again. Ballistol has proven itself for engine preservation, for current models as well as for classic cars. Pistons and cylinders stay bright when stored with Ballistol. As a rust remover and rust protection, Ballistol is also ideal for restoring vehicles of all kinds.

• Ballistol for bike care:
  Ballistol can be used from the handlebars to the pedals. It lubricates and cleans bearings and sprockets, loosens seized connections, works as a contact oil or contact spray and creeps into the tightest corners. Ballistol Universal Oil protects leather saddles and tool bags. Brittle leather is regenerated, made supple and waterproofed against snow and rain.   Ballistol is suitable for maintaining machines and equipment such as circular saws, planers, drills, lathes, production lines and filling systems. Ballistol is ideal for food processing areas. The universal oil is widely used for the care and preservation of tools, instruments and precision mechanical devices. Ballistol is also suitable for loosening rusted screws or neutralising hand perspiration on sensitive metal surfaces, preventing so-called fingerprints on metal surfaces. In the beverage industry, Ballistol is used to maintain and preserve filling and capping machines.   Ballistol makes brittle, dry leather soft and supple again, protects against drying out, water and rot, and leaves a silky matt sheen. Tannic acid residues in the leather are neutralised.
