GunEx MIL: the CLP gun oil with mil-spec performance

GunEx MIL is Ballistol's high-performance CLP gun oil that combines cleaning, lubricating and protecting in one product. You care for your gun reliably, protect metal against corrosion in the long term and ensure smooth operation even under extreme conditions.

GunEx gun oil was developed back in the 1970s based on NATO TL S-758 and therefore draws on decades of experience in gun cleaning and gun care. The latest generation, GunEx MIL (S-761), fully meets the current technical requirements of modern NATO weapon systems according to TL 9150-0078,7 and is used worldwide by authorities, the military, sport shooters and hunters.

As a true CLP oil, it combines the three key functions of gun care:

1. Cleaning
2. Lubricating
3. Protecting

Whether pistol, revolver, rifle, shotgun, signal pistol or captive bolt gun: GunEx MIL cleans, cares for and protects reliably. It removes powder residues, fouling, soot, lead and tombac deposits.

GunEx Mil is a fully synthetic high-performance oil that is solvent-free and odour-neutral. It dissolves gummed-up oils and greases but does not gum up itself. Free from solid additives, silicone-free, with no sticky residues.

Outstanding corrosion protection for long-term value retention

GunEx MIL was specially developed to provide exceptional rust protection even under the toughest conditions. In the latest generation, corrosion protection and water displacement have been improved even further and repeatedly confirmed according to standards.

In the salt spray test, the oil proved itself for over 72 hours at +35 °C. This was followed by a high-temperature corrosion test over 168 hours at +121 °C.

A material compatibility test was also carried out on steel, aluminium, magnesium, cadmium and copper. Unlike some other oils with EP additives, GunEx Mil did not attack copper or any other material.

Water displacement is also convincing. In the humidity cabinet test according to FED-STD-791 (method 5311), GunEx MIL passed the required 170 hours at +40 °C without rust formation.

Extremely resilient in heat, cold and continuous use

GunEx MIL was developed for use in all climate zones. Its optimised viscosity remains stable even in extreme cold and ensures reliable gun function from -56 °C to +150 °C.

The oil creeps into the finest gaps, dissolves gummed-up oils and greases and keeps mechanisms running smoothly for good. Its wear protection ensures maximum service life of mechanical components. The oil also successfully passed the demanding four-ball test (VKA).

Tip: combine GunEx MIL with GunCer gun oil, Ballistol's ceramic-based high-performance lubricant. The two products can be mixed. This combination achieves maximum lubrication performance in all areas. In trials, the rate of fire remained constant even after 270 rounds in 5.56 x 45 mm calibre, although the weapon system was heavily fouled with soot due to the suppressor used. This impressive result was achieved partly thanks to GunCer's special ingredients, which prevented mechanical components from seizing.

Its exceptional CLP properties make GunEx MIL far more than just a gun oil. It is excellent as a universal oil for industry, trade, agriculture and the workshop.

The fully synthetic CLP oil creeps into the finest cracks, cleans dirty mechanisms and keeps moving parts sliding smoothly.

On cars and motorcycles, GunEx frees squeaking, creaking or sticking joints. It prevents frozen door locks, removes resinous dirt and keeps battery and ignition contacts clean.

On bikes, GunEx cleans and lubricates chains, cassettes, bearings and Bowden cables. On boats it withstands salt air and spray and is ideal for winter lay-up.

In the home and garden too, GunEx gets everything back in shape. Door locks, hinges and garden tools run like clockwork and stay protected for good.
