Special formulation

The pH value of 6 has been optimally matched to your skin's slightly acidic pH. The special formulation completely avoids animal and essential oils. Irritating additives are left out too – even fragrances. That's why the mosquito spray has a barely noticeable scent.

Thanks to this formulation, Ballistol Stichfrei Sensitive can be used on toddlers from 6 months.

The ingredients don't stick to the skin. The mosquito spray also leaves no stains on clothing and other textiles.

Ballistol Stichfrei Sensitive also works against ticks

The proven active ingredient Icaridin not only protects against mosquitoes but also reliably keeps horseflies and ticks away. Out in nature or when hiking, the spray therefore gives you comprehensive protection against various bloodsuckers.

Ballistol offers a special tick spray that works longer and more intensively. However, this spray contains ingredients such as limonene that can cause allergic reactions on sensitive skin.

Active ingredient Icaridin instead of DEET

Unlike DEET, Icaridin also has no intrusive chemical smell.

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends Icaridin as a safe and effective mosquito repellent. This international recognition underlines the quality of the active ingredient.

Ballistol deliberately avoids DEET in all its products and relies on modern Icaridin instead. This gives you reliable protection without the well-known drawbacks of conventional DEET repellents. DEET can cause unwanted skin reactions, especially on sensitive skin or with frequent use. Typical reactions to DEET are redness or even blistering.

Which mosquito spray is best?

  The cream is easy to apply evenly. It contains the active ingredient IR 3535, which is slightly less potent than Icaridin. Suitable for babies from 2 months. Also recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women. Has a pleasant, light peach scent.
• Ballistol Stichfrei insect repellent spray:
  With 20% Icaridin and other additives, it provides up to 8 hours of strong, reliable protection against mosquitoes, horseflies and ticks. However, ingredients such as limonene may cause reactions in allergy sufferers. Suitable for children from 2 years and for pregnant and breastfeeding women.
• Mosquito repellent spray Stichfrei Tropical:
  This powerful combination of 20% Icaridin and 5% Citrepel® was specially developed for tropical climate zones with high humidity. Ingredients such as coumarin, limonene, citral and linalool may cause allergic reactions. In some regions, however, you shouldn't do without strong mosquito protection.
• Mosquito spray with DEET:
  DEET can not only cause skin irritation in allergy sufferers but is also suspected of being carcinogenic. Allergy sufferers should give mosquito sprays with a particularly high DEET content a wide berth. Out of conviction and a sense of responsibility, all Ballistol products are consistently DEET-free.
