Hand sprayer for Ballistol

The oil atomizer is suitable, for example, for atomizing technical oils onto surfaces or hard-to-reach areas.

The hand sprayer is a practical atomizer. With the hand sprayer you can atomize Ballistol and thin oils almost as finely as with a classic aerosol can. A special pump mechanism with a special nozzle bore makes this possible. With a capacity of 250 ml or optionally 500 ml, the reservoir is large enough for extended work and small enough for easy handling.

Fine and extra-fine nozzles as accessories for atomizing thin and volatile liquids

The hand sprayer comes with a nozzle that is perfect for atomizing thicker and cold oils too – e.g. Ballistol. Water and other thin liquids can also be atomized nice and evenly with this "standard nozzle", e.g. for ironing or for spreading degreaser on surfaces. If you want to atomize thin liquids more finely, it can make sense to use a finer nozzle. This is useful, for example, if you want to apply waterproofing agent evenly to suede. No droplets should form, as they could leave a visible difference on the surface. Finer nozzles are designed for such cases.   Standard nozzle 0.6 mm (white)

  The hand sprayer comes with a nozzle that can also atomize more viscous oils. The nozzle bore is 0.6 mm and ensures perfect atomization even of cold Ballistol. With this nozzle, the spray lever is particularly easy to operate.

  Fine nozzle 0.4 mm (red)

  With the fine nozzle, the hand sprayer can atomize Ballistol more finely. The spray lever then needs to be pressed a little more slowly because the oil is atomized more finely. The bore is 0.4 mm. Thinner oils such as Usta can be atomized with this nozzle as easily as Ballistol with the standard nozzle.

  Extra-fine nozzle (black)

  This nozzle atomizes liquids very finely. The bore of just 0.3 mm allows extremely fine atomization. With this nozzle, the hand sprayer can also finely atomize very thin liquids such as degreasers.

Tips for atomizing viscous oils

If you want to spray a jet, open the nozzle a little further by turning it anti-clockwise. For atomizing, close the nozzle completely and open it bit by bit until you have set the desired spray pattern. You will then clearly feel resistance when operating the lever.

Apart from a nozzle that is opened too far, the temperature of the oil can also be a reason why it does not atomize well. When oils are to be atomized in aerosol cans, thinners are often added. In such cases, however, 200 ml of oil in an aerosol can is not the same as 200 ml of the liquid oil. If a viscous, i.e. fairly thick oil does not atomize well, temperature may also be the cause. Viscosity is always higher when the oil is cold. If you warm it up briefly, it will spray well again.

Atomizing salad oil

This hand sprayer is designed for technical oils. It will probably not meet your expectations of a perfect spray pattern when atomizing cold salad oils or other edible oils.

Ballistol Animal Care oil helps in small quantities. But with farm animals and horses the hand sprayer is usually used. Especially the 5 liter canister is liked to buy together with the hand sprayer.

Even the universal Usta Workshop oil can be sprayed perfectly with the hand sprayer.

Ustanol penetrating oil is usually purchased together with the hand sprayer. Alternatively there is the precision mechanics oil in a spray can.
