Like the waterproofing spray, Ballistol's liquid waterproofing agent has all the sought-after properties:

Differences between spray and liquid waterproofing agent

The liquid version is based on the same ingredients and active ingredients as the waterproofing spray. As the liquid waterproofing agent contains no propellant, it goes much further than the waterproofing spray.

The test result in the video below, which shows Ballistol waterproofing agent in a comparison test with another product, applies whether you use the spray or the liquid. Incidentally, the test is very easy to reproduce and check for yourself.

100 ml of liquid waterproofing agent covers an area of approx. 1 m². For the same area you need 200 ml of spray. The 5 litre canister therefore covers about 50 m²

Sensitive surfaces such as dyed leather or suede can be treated much better with a finely atomized spray. The liquid is better for large tarpaulins, tents, convertible roofs, awnings and cotton. It can also be spread over large areas much faster with a hand sprayer, cloth, sponge or brush.

How to use the waterproofing agent

You can find detailed instructions under how to use waterproofing spray. Below we explain the differences in application:

• Clean the surface as recommended by the manufacturer and then let it dry.
• Shake the product very thoroughly so that the active ingredient is evenly distributed.
• Apply the waterproofing agent evenly with a suitable applicator. You can use a cloth, sponge, brush or a hand sprayer.
• Give the waterproofing enough time to dry. With a spray it takes about 45 minutes. With the liquid version, the drying time also depends on how much you have applied.

Repeating the process after drying can be advisable if waterproofing requires a lot of preparation and follow-up work, for example. In such cases, repeating the process can extend the effect even further. Awnings, sails and convertible roofs are good examples.

The result of waterproofing

The waterproofing agent keeps surfaces clean for a long time and increases their service life. The fabric is water-repellent and protected against moisture, UV radiation and dirt.

The universal waterproofing coats every fibre and gives it an invisible, breathable waterproof finish. Water, dirt, coffee, tea, red wine, cola and the like can no longer stick and simply bead off.
