Assembly spray – copper graphite

Ballistol assembly and disassembly spray is a silicone-free lubricant. It protects against corrosion, seizing, cold welding, oxidation and wear and ensures easy assembly and disassembly of all materials.

Properties of assembly spray

Assembly spray protects against wear and corrosion. Even in corrosive conditions such as steam, fresh water, salt water, dilute alkalis, many chemical vapours and most gases such as natural gas, butane, propane, noble gases, fluorocarbons and nitrogen, the assembly spray provides effective corrosion protection. It cannot be used with compressed oxygen.

Our assembly spray also makes many assembly processes easier, such as fitting sealing profiles made of plastics, rubber and other materials. Assembly spray is temperature-stable from -100 °C to +800 °C. Thanks to its composition, Ballistol assembly spray is extremely pressure-resistant. Other lubricants are often unable to work stably enough under such conditions.

Our assembly spray seals surfaces and shields the material from external influences, thus protecting it against corrosion. Small irregularities in the treated surfaces are filled by the solids it contains. This smooths the surface and reduces frictional resistance. This applies not only to metal abrasion but also to the abrasion of plastics and rubber on metals.

Ballistol assembly spray also ensures tighter connections for threads and fits and effectively prevents galvanic corrosion between different metals.

Applications of assembly spray

Ballistol assembly spray is suitable for creating adhesive lubricating and protective films on all metals and makes it easier, for example, to fit sealing profiles made of plastic, rubber and other materials. As a silicone-free lubricant, it is also suitable for statically highly loaded components at temperatures of up to 800 °C. Its range of applications is extremely broad. A complete list of all possible uses in industry, agriculture, automotive engineering, workshops, home, garden etc. is impossible, because the assembly spray can be used wherever wear, seizing and corrosion are to be prevented, sliding friction reduced and easy assembly and disassembly made possible.

A short list of application areas

Ballistol assembly spray is suitable for protecting nuts and bolts exposed, for example, to the weather or other conditions such as moisture, salt water, steam, gas etc. Our assembly spray is also often used for wheel nuts, studs, spark plugs, engine gaskets and exhaust gaskets, for bolts on exhausts, manifolds, cylinders and on the whole motorcycle, in combustion chambers and all ports in the cylinder, on battery terminals, hinges, gears, ball bearings, chains, rolling bearings, shafts, axles, valves, valve seats and in engine building. The assembly spray also does a reliable job on pipe threads, fittings and flanges, seals, plug connections, slideways and guide rails. It is particularly suitable for high operating temperatures, high pressure loads and outdoor use where materials are exposed to the weather. Disassembly spray

During disassembly, the disassembly spray loosens screw connections or clamps that are too tight. The disassembly spray is also perfect for removing assembly traces. It can be used on all materials – including carbon.

Instructions for use of assembly spray

The surfaces to be protected should be dry, clean and free of grease before treatment with the assembly spray. For pre-treatment, it's best to use the appropriate degreaser. Shake the can well before use so that the solids in the suspension are evenly distributed. Shake well again after a break. The spray should have a metallic grey colour. Then spray the assembly spray from a distance of approx. 20 cm. You can assemble immediately after application.

Shrinking metal with freeze spray as an assembly aid.

Shrinking metal with freeze spray is also a common assembly aid for tight fits and small tolerances. Our freeze spray cools down to as low as -52 °C within a few seconds.
