MultiDry room dehumidifier

The MultiDry room dehumidifier absorbs excess humidity and stores up to 600 g of water without odour in its active granules.

The MultiDry room dehumidifier can be used, for example, in cellars, living rooms, storerooms, bathrooms, garages, on motorcycles, in tack rooms, gun cabinets, boats, wardrobes, caravans / motorhomes, workshops, garden sheds etc.

The active granules of MultiDry draw excess moisture from the surrounding air, because excessive humidity is a breeding ground for germs and mould, which not only damage objects but also pose a health risk. MultiDry prevents mould, mildew stains, mustiness and corrosion. The moisture is stored odour-free in the granules in the bag and does not drip. The MultiDry room dehumidifier absorbs up to 600 g of water.

The MultiDry room dehumidifier is reusable

Depending on humidity and temperature, 1 kg of MultiDry can be used for 2 to 4 months in rooms of up to approx. 35 cubic metres. Afterwards, MultiDry can simply be dried on a radiator or in the oven at 175 °C and is then ready to use again. The dimensions of the room dehumidifier are approx. 33 x 15 cm.

Wardrobes, shoe cabinets, gun cabinets, safes

The MultiDry room dehumidifier is particularly effective in enclosed spaces such as safes, wardrobes, gun cabinets, shoe cabinets, chests etc. In these confined spaces with little air circulation, moisture is absorbed immediately. This prevents condensation from forming in cabinets and safes, and everything stays nice and dry.

House and flat

Almost all houses have weak points when it comes to insulation – they are either insulated too well or too poorly. With insulation that is too good, humidity cannot escape; with poor insulation, the cold coming in causes condensation. Temperature fluctuations in rooms, e.g. due to sunlight, also lead to condensation. Window sills are therefore one of the best places for room dehumidifiers, as most of the humidity condenses on the windows. The MultiDry room dehumidifier prevents this by reducing the relative humidity, which means the room air is regulated to an optimum.

In weekend houses and garden houses, irregular ventilation and heating lead to condensation. The first signs can be noticed by the typical musty smell. Using MultiDry draws the moisture from the air so it cannot settle. Valuable contents such as electrical appliances in particular can be effectively protected this way – after all, these appliances also came with a desiccant in their packaging. Mould is also a major problem in log cabins, summerhouses and other wooden "buildings". Mouldy food can be thrown away, but mouldy building fabric requires renovation (if still possible). Motorcycles

Whether the motorcycle is under a cover or in a garage, moisture always settles. The MultiDry room dehumidifier can be placed under the cover or attached to the motorcycle to keep it dry. If condensation forms under the motorcycle cover, it can hardly evaporate and very quickly leads to the unloved and very stubborn rust spots on chrome parts and unsightly marks on aluminium and plastic parts.

Convertibles and classic cars

Instructions for use of the MultiDry room dehumidifier

The MultiDry room dehumidifier is activated by removing the protective film. For safety reasons (moisture transfer), avoid direct contact with absorbent products and products at risk of rust (fabric, paper, metal). For example, use a mat when placing it on a carpet. A well-suited mat is the felt mat from Ballistol. The saturation level of the room dehumidifier can be determined by weighing it. Saturation is reached at 1.6 kg.

Regenerating the room dehumidifier

MultiDry can be dried in an oven (not in the microwave) or on a radiator for reuse. For oven drying, place MultiDry on a rack at medium height and set the oven temperature to approx. 175 °C. Higher temperatures can damage the fleece bag (no fire hazard). The drying process takes approx. 4 to 5 hours. For standard ovens, this costs approx. 1 euro in electricity (at 25 cents/kWh according to DIN 44547). If the MultiDry room dehumidifier is dried on a radiator, the drying process takes approx. two to three days.

When do you need a room dehumidifier?

There are mainly two conditions under which a room dehumidifier is strongly recommended: little air circulation, or temperature differences and fluctuations in adjacent "spaces".

Air circulation

Humidity is always a problem when there is little air circulation. In summerhouses, cellars, boxes, cabinets etc. that are rarely opened, rust, mould, mustiness and unpleasant odours can develop. That's why one of our room dehumidifiers makes sense when storing things in such spaces. A corrosion process, for example, starts after just a few hours in a damp environment. The oxygen in the air combined with water makes this process possible.

Temperature differences and temperature fluctuations

Temperature fluctuations indoors, e.g. in motorhomes, on boats, in summerhouses, cars etc., immediately lead to condensation forming and building up. This leaves so much moisture in the space that corrosion, mildew stains and odours develop.
