SafeDry dehumidifier for cabinets, safes and chests
The SafeDry dehumidifier dries out safes, cabinets, chests and gun cabinets and has an indicator that shows the residual moisture. The SafeDry safe dehumidifier and gun cabinet dehumidifier prevents rust, mould, mustiness and corrosion.
As soon as the foil bag is opened, the SafeDry cabinet dehumidifier becomes active. Just as a magnet attracts metals, SafeDry attracts moisture and draws it from the surrounding air until a relative humidity below 60% is reached. This way the SafeDry dehumidifier prevents rust, mould and musty smells and provides the necessary dryness in the safe or gun cabinet and all other small spaces. Up to 180 g of water is absorbed without odour and without dripping. The moisture is stored in the active granules. Depending on temperature and relative humidity, the SafeDry gun cabinet dehumidifier remains active for 2–6 months before it needs regenerating.
Reusing the SafeDry safe dehumidifier
SafeDry can simply be dried on a radiator for reuse. The SafeDry dehumidifier releases its moisture over a longer period, which can be days or weeks depending on saturation and heating. After drying, SafeDry should weigh approx. 330 g. Using 2 SafeDry units alternately therefore makes sense: one dehumidifies the cabinet while the other is dried on the radiator.

Indicator shows the residual moisture
The dehumidifier shows its moisture content via an indicator. When dry, and on delivery in the airtight foil wrapping, the granules in the dehumidifier contain no moisture. In this state, the moisture indicator is blue. If the indicator changes from blue to pink, the active granules will soon be saturated. The dehumidifier should then be changed or regenerated.
Instructions for use of the SafeDry dehumidifier
SafeDry is activated by removing the airtight foil packaging. As it absorbs moisture, SafeDry becomes heavier and heavier. Saturation is reached when SafeDry has absorbed approx. 180 ml of water from the humidity. With SafeDry, however, you don't need to weigh it to check, as the dehumidifier has a moisture indicator. As soon as the indicator turns pink, simply place SafeDry on the radiator until the dehumidifier weighs approx. 330 g again.

Regenerating the dehumidifier
SafeDry can be dried on a radiator for reuse. SafeDry then slowly releases the absorbed moisture. Once SafeDry weighs only around 330 g or the moisture indicator is blue again, it is dry enough to be used again. Because of the drying times, it makes sense to use two SafeDry units so that one dehumidifier is always available for active use.
When do you need a dehumidifier?
There are mainly two conditions under which a dehumidifier is strongly recommended: little air circulation, or temperature differences and fluctuations in adjacent "spaces".
Air circulation
Humidity is always a problem when there is little air circulation. In summerhouses, cellars, boxes, cabinets etc. that are rarely opened, rust, mould, mustiness and unpleasant odours can develop. That's why one of our dehumidifiers makes sense when storing things in such spaces. A corrosion process, for example, starts after just a few hours in a damp environment. The oxygen in the air combined with water makes this process possible.
Temperature differences and temperature fluctuations
Temperature fluctuations indoors, e.g. in motorhomes, on boats, in summerhouses, cars etc., immediately lead to condensation forming and building up. This leaves so much moisture in the space that corrosion, mildew stains and odours develop. Thanks to their high-quality active granules, our dehumidifiers can immediately draw moisture from the air, so condensation cannot form in the first place. Everything stays dry – except the active granules of the SafeDry dehumidifier.
Here you will find the MultiDry room dehumidifier for damp rooms.
Here you will find AirDry, the dehumidifier for cars and all vehicles.
The SafeDry dehumidifier dries out safes, gun cabinets and all other damp, confined chests and boxes. The residual moisture indicator is particularly practical, so you can always change the dehumidifier at the right time. This way SafeDry prevents rust, mould, mustiness and odours.
